Service status

Service status and incidents

ODMOP's availability is checked automatically every few minutes from outside our hosting. This page describes how we monitor, how we respond to incidents and how we tell customers.

How we monitor

  • An automated probe checks the ODMOP application and the public website on a schedule, and raises an alert to the operator when a check fails more than once in a row.
  • The application exposes liveness and readiness checks; readiness includes a database check.

How we respond

  1. Detect through monitoring or a customer report to support@afolaola.com.
  2. Assess severity using the priorities in the Support Policy.
  3. Contain and fix, protecting customer data first.
  4. Communicate to affected organisations' Owners by e-mail, with what happened, who is affected and what we are doing.
  5. Review afterwards, record what we learned and fix the cause.

Security incidents

If we confirm that customer information was exposed, we tell the affected organisations without undue delay so they can meet their own obligations. Report suspected incidents to security@afolaola.com.

What we do not yet offer

ODMOP does not yet publish a real-time public status board or an availability percentage, and there is no uptime guarantee unless an Enterprise agreement says so.
